The ledger
Two entries from the same ledger. Capital opened one on its own.
East ran 14 boxes short nine days before tile setting reached the critical path, and East is the lane with no float. West was holding 14 spare boxes of the replacement lot with nothing booked against them. Capital moved them that night instead of waiting on air freight from the mill, which would have taken the committed finish with it. The two lots do not shade‑match, so the 214 sq ft they cover comes to you as a decision rather than quietly disappearing into the job. Schedule kept, 0.6 of a day recovered, and the only thing on your desk is the shade.
A site rep pulled 22 sq ft of mosaic 6802-A off attic stock to finish a short cut run in the central washrooms. Moved by hand at the trailer, logged after the fact, and the stock count still matches the site.
