We built the software to run our own projects first.
WeReno started as an owner’s representative, and it never ran a project on paper. For more than ten years WeReno Capital ran renovations, fit-outs and capital programmes on software it wrote for itself: the scope, the bid levelling, the change log, the schedule, the chasing. Over a thousand projects and more than $1B of property improvement went through it.
Running that many projects through one system is how we learned where property improvement actually breaks. It is almost never the building work. It is the scope nobody wrote down, the three quotes that priced three different jobs, and the week lost waiting for one electrician to call back.
Capital is that software, still running. Handyman, Renobot and Opsonic are what happened when we pointed it at everyone else.
