Handyman.ai Bills

It reads the bill before you do.

Link the water, power and gas accounts and the house starts telling you when something changed, while there is still time to do something about it.

The noticing

A bill is the house talking. Usually nobody is listening.

Water doubling is not a billing story, it is a plumbing story, and the ' statement is the slowest possible way to hear it. A linked account reads daily.

Water at 18 Harlow Row has been running overnight for three nights with nobody home. It is well above your own average for this time of year.
is that the sprinkler
The sprinkler is off for the season. The sump also ran eleven times last night against a normal of two, so the two are probably the same problem. I have opened a thread and put both on it.
ok get someone out
Asking three plumbers who cover your street. I will come back with times, and I have the shutoff photograph ready for whoever takes it.
What it watches

Four things, checked every time a reading lands.

On every read
Against your own averageNot a national figure and not last month. Your house, at this time of year, over the last several bills. A jump against that is worth a question.
A rate that movedWhen the price of a unit changes, you hear it in a sentence rather than finding it in a table of tiers on page two.
A deadline comingThe property tax installment surfaces early, with last year’s bill attached, so it is a date you knew about rather than a letter you missed.
An invoice that does not matchA visit billed for two hours when the thread says one. The graph knows when somebody was actually at the house.
It stays open

A problem with a provider is a thread, not an inbox.

An outage, a meter that reads wrong, a bill you are disputing: it keeps ' one thread with everything on it, so the next person who asks gets the whole story instead of ' the last email.

One open thread
What it holdsEvery reading, every reference number, what was said and when, and the photographs somebody took at the meter.
Who can see itYou, and anyone in your household who needs it. A tenant reporting a problem sees their thread and nothing else.
When it closesWhen the thing is actually settled, not when somebody stops replying.
What it does nextIt remembers. A meter that read wrong once gets watched more closely the next time the number moves.
Where it stops

It holds the deadline and the document.

On anything assessed, permitted or licensed, Handyman keeps the paperwork ' and the date and leaves the ruling to the people whose job it is. Your assessed value goes on ' the record as a number that changed and when.

The line
It willKeep the bill, keep the history, tell you the date is coming and show you what last year looked like.
It will notTell you an assessment is wrong, or what a municipality will allow. That is somebody licensed, and it will help you find them.
Settling anythingNothing gets paid or agreed on your behalf unless you have already set that up. What it may do without asking.

The screens on this page are recreations, with invented property names, addresses and firms.
