The challenge
Strip Mall in Winnipeg could not shut. The work had to happen around trading hours, in phases, with the site made safe and presentable before every open.
That constraint changes the whole plan. Deliveries, noisy work and anything needing an inspection all have to land in a window measured in hours.
What we did
We broke the scope into phases that could each be finished and cleaned inside a single closure, and sequenced the trades so no phase depended on one that had not been signed off.
Every change was priced and approved before it was built, because a variation agreed on site at eight in the morning is a variation nobody can evidence later.
The outcome
The buildout finished without an unplanned closure. Strip Mall traded through the entire programme, and the final account matched the approvals on file.
