Land Reclamation was public work, which means the scrutiny is part of the scope. A committee reads the file, the procurement rules are not advisory, and every number has to be traceable to the document it came from.
On a tendered job the reporting is not paperwork you do afterwards. It is a deliverable with its own deadlines.
What we did
WeReno ran the project on one record, so the reporting was a view of the job rather than a reconstruction of it. Commitments were recorded as they were made, not at month end.
Every change order carried its justification, its price and the approval that released it, in the order it happened.
