Executing a Smooth Room Makeover That Meets Corporate Standards and Enhances Guest Experience

The challenge

Hampton Inn needed a property improvement plan to modernize and meet new corporate standards. Updating five floors posed a challenge, as the project had to be completed in phases without disrupting hotel services or guest experiences.

Objective

The goal was to upgrade bathrooms, tv, blinds, curtains, and flooring without disrupting daily operations or inconveniencing guests. The entire process required thorough documentation to keep corporate informed of the project’s progress and results.

To meet these goals, we implemented a detailed strategy to ensure clarity and efficiency throughout the project.

Design Process

To ensure that the project aligned with the client’s vision, we worked closely with an interior designer. This collaboration helped us capture the aesthetic and functional goals of the property improvement plan while staying within the client’s budget. The focus was on achieving a cohesive look that aligned with Hampton Inn’s corporate standards while maximizing value for the hotel.

Dashboard

We centralized floor layouts and room measurements on a single dashboard, ensuring precise documentation and clear updates to corporate on project progress. The dashboard also tracked contractors, simplifying reference for warranty work or future needs. This method streamlined the renovation process and maintained transparency throughout.

Prioritization

In coordination with hotel management, we identified floor bookings and scheduled work during slower periods to minimize guest disruption. We aimed to complete each floor in seven days, offering complimentary upgrades to clear floors faster and accelerate the renovation. This proactive approach enabled efficient work and sometimes early completion.
