"A diplomatic facility renovation requires cultural sensitivity and dual-government compliance that most Canadian contractors have never been asked to deliver at the same time."
Overview
The UAE Consulate renovation in Toronto required diplomatic property standards — security-cleared personnel access, Arabic and English documentation, materials provenance records, and a completion package that could be submitted to both Canadian and UAE government procurement authorities. The renovation involved consular office spaces, a ceremonial reception area, and secure archive storage.
The problem
The UAE procurement authority required documentation in Arabic alongside English, with materials provenance records formatted to UAE government standards. Canadian public sector procurement required separate chain-of-custody documentation for the secure areas. Coordinating security clearance for all trade personnel while meeting dual-government documentation standards exceeded the GC's standard capability.

"A diplomatic facility renovation requires cultural sensitivity and dual-government compliance that most Canadian contractors have never been asked to deliver at the same time."
The Solution
WeReno built the project documentation framework in both Arabic and English from project initiation. Materials provenance was documented to UAE government standards; personnel access records met Canadian secure facility requirements. The twin generated completion packages formatted to each government's standards independently — the Canadian submission and the UAE submission were produced from the same underlying documentation without translation or reformatting.

"WeReno construction quality and cultural sensitivity were evident throughout the project. The balance between UAE heritage requirements and Canadian security standards was managed expertly."
The result
The UAE Consulate renovation received acceptance from both the Canadian procurement authority and the UAE government on the first submission of each completion package. No supplementary documentation was required by either government. The consulate's ceremonial reception area, consular offices, and secure archive were all delivered on the original project schedule. The UAE government designated the project documentation as a reference standard for future diplomatic property renovations in Canada.
