"Elevating a Travelodge to premium status in Edmonton means addressing both the physical quality and the market perception of the brand in a competitive city."
Overview
The Travelodge Edmonton required a full property-wide PIP refresh under the WoodSpring brand standards — covering all guestroom types, common areas, and F&B spaces. The property was operating at 60% occupancy throughout the renovation. The challenge was delivering brand-standard compliance without ever taking an entire room type offline simultaneously.
The problem
The GC needed to sequence room refreshes floor-by-floor without creating inventory gaps. The brand inspector required photo documentation of every finished room before sign-off — a process that historically required scheduling a second site visit after all rooms were complete. With an occupied property, phased delivery made that timeline unpredictable.

The Solution
WeReno built a room-level digital twin for every guestroom and common area. Each room was documented as it was completed — photos, measurements, and brand-standard checklist items were embedded in the model. The brand inspector reviewed finished rooms remotely through the twin as they were completed, eliminating the need for a dedicated mid-project site visit.
General Manager
"WeReno renovation quality and attention to business traveler needs were exactly what was required to transform our market position in Edmonton."
The result
The Travelodge Edmonton PIP was completed with zero full floor closures. The brand inspector issued final sign-off after a single site visit covering only the remaining 20% of rooms. The property maintained its 60% occupancy average through the full renovation period and opened all room types on the brand launch date.
