"Modernizing a police facility while keeping it fully operational means the sequencing and the coordination with active operations have to be managed with precision."
Overview
The Bolton police facility renovation covered operational and administrative spaces within an active law enforcement building. Government facility renovations of this type require chain-of-custody documentation for all materials entering the building, personnel access logs for all trades, and completion documentation meeting the standards of the public sector procurement authority. The facility remained in active operation throughout the renovation.
The problem
The procurement authority required materials traceability documentation, personnel access records, and a completion package formatted to public sector standards — none of which were part of the GC's standard deliverables. The first documentation submission was returned for non-compliance, requiring a four-week supplementary documentation effort before the facility could issue project acceptance.

The Solution
WeReno structured the project documentation framework around the procurement authority's completion requirements from day one. Materials were logged with chain-of-custody records as they entered the facility. Personnel access was tracked at the element level in the twin. The completion package — formatted to government standards — was generated directly from the twin documentation, eliminating the post-completion assembly effort.

"WeReno successfully managed the renovation around our operational requirements. The enhanced security systems and improved public areas were delivered without disruption to services."
The result
The Bolton police facility renovation received government project acceptance on the first submission. No supplementary documentation was required. The post-completion documentation effort that had cost four weeks on the prior submission was eliminated entirely. The facility returned to full operational capacity on the original project completion date.
