"A sustainable seafood pop-up that needs to tour means the design has to perform perfectly every time it deploys. Modularity and build quality were both non-negotiable."
Overview
MOWI's seafood pop-up required specialized refrigeration display systems, health department pre-approval, and a rapid deployment timeline. The challenge was getting health department clearance on a temporary structure with non-standard refrigeration before the opening date — in a shared retail corridor with specific electrical and drainage constraints.
The problem
The health department's pre-approval process for temporary food retail installations required detailed documentation of the refrigeration system, drainage plan, and electrical specifications — documentation that typically takes 3-4 weeks to compile and submit. The pop-up window was 6 weeks total.

"A sustainable seafood pop-up that needs to tour means the design has to perform perfectly every time it deploys. Modularity and build quality were both non-negotiable."
The Solution
WeReno built the twin from the pop-up design drawings and generated the health department submission package — refrigeration layout, drainage routing, electrical load documentation — directly from the model. The health department received a spatially complete submission that answered all their standard questions before any site visit.
Compliance Coordinator
"WeReno delivered the combination of sustainability thinking and functional design that a touring pop-up demands. The modular execution was precise."
The result
MOWI received health department pre-approval before the first panel arrived on-site. The pop-up was fully operational within 5 days of build start. The refrigeration system maintained temperature compliance throughout the 3-week activation — the commissioning record from the twin was used to demonstrate compliance at the mid-activation health check.
