Golf Simulator Brampton: Six bays, a full bar, and a precision AV install — all sequenced in one model.

Project photo

Overview

How a premium indoor golf facility coordinated its simulator technology, structural bays, and hospitality fit-out without a single AV conflict.

This indoor golf simulator facility involved six custom simulator bays, each requiring structural steel framing, precision projector mounting, turf installation, and AV infrastructure — alongside a full bar and lounge built to hospitality standards. The simulator vendor, structural sub, AV contractor, and hospitality millwork team all had interdependent sequences.

The problem

The simulator vendor's technical requirements weren't reflected in the structural drawings.

The simulator vendor specified projector throw distances and ceiling clearance requirements that hadn't been incorporated into the GC's structural drawings. The discrepancy was discovered only when the steel framing was already installed — requiring one bay to be reframed at additional cost.

"A professional-grade golf simulation facility has technical tolerances that standard commercial fit-out does not account for. The specifications required a team that took them seriously."

The Solution

Vendor tech specs, structural steel, and AV runs in a unified model.

WeReno built the twin from the structural drawings and imported the simulator vendor's technical specifications as spatial constraints. Every projector throw distance, ceiling clearance, and AV cable run was visible in the model before framing began. The AV contractor used the twin to plan their cable routes through the structural bays without conflict.

"WeReno tracked every technical specification and treated the customer experience design with as much care as the structural elements."

The result

All six bays passed AV commissioning first attempt. No structural modifications on-site.

All six simulator bays were framed, fitted, and AV-commissioned without a single structural modification. The facility opened with all bays operational and the full bar ready for service. The AV commissioning — typically the last bottleneck on this type of fit-out — was completed in one day.
